Motivation's
where you
find it
when you
can't find
none at
home, when
you've looked
under your
pillow to
see if
you left
it behind
in a
dream but
you haven't
and it's
not in
the bathroom
where you
left it
last time
you were
speech writing
while brushing
your teeth.
Will you
find it
in the
shape of
a cloud,
in birdsong,
in the
skin of
an oak?
Will it
be left
for you
(a secret
message) in
your morning
cup of
Joe? The
new barista
particularly
wise. You're
like that
dog in
that book
asking random
passersby if
he belongs
to them,
except it's
your motivation
you're looking
for and
IT belongs
to YOU,
....
doesn't it?
